May 2019 Printing Term of The Month
This month’s Printing Term of the Month is bleed!
Bleed is printing that goes beyond the edge of where the sheet will be trimmed. Bleeds are important because it allows some space for inconsistencies or slight movement during printing.
For example, if you have no bleed and the paper moves slightly during printing, you might end up with a little white on the edge of your piece. However, if you have bleed your print will still reach the edge on every piece even with slight movement.
